4/18/13 Italian... Peach?

So I mentioned awhile ago that there might be an Italian Peach Gloss called Bella Peach... As it turns out that might not just have been a gloss, but actually a full addition to the line that didn't pass test phase.

Picture below you'll see the Italian line... Italian Honeysuckle Amore, Italian Dolce Berry, Italian Seaside Citrus... And Italian Bella Peach.

I have to say I like the city makes better, and I'm glad they passed on the peaches... I just think after Wild Peach Poppies it would have been too much peach all at once.

What do you think?

  1. I'm new to bath and body works products. What fragrances would you recommend? I tried Frosted Snowberry, Twisted Peppermint, Vanilla Bean Noel, Moonlight Path, and Twilight Woods. I liked all of them except Moonlight Path. Twilight Woods and Twisted Peppermint are my favorites! What other scents are good?

  2. Well try Eucalyptus Spearmint from Aromatherapy for a summer mint. I love Cashmere Glow, to me it smells like Twilight Woods fused with an old dc'd scent called Vanilla Noir. I would say to try both of those for sure.

Being that it is summer I am all about fruity scents... Capri Seaside Citrus is my current favorite. The other scents I like that can be purchased include Malibu Heat (in May), Aruba Coconut, Bali Mango, and Fresh Picked Pears. My other faves have been dc'd. I also like True Blue Spa Raspberry for days I want to pamper and have a spa day, and True Blue Spa Malibu for summer party nights. I also like Sweet Pea for spring and summer.

Then for Fall I like Twilight Woods, Cashmere Glow, Warm Vanilla Sugar, and whatever Fall Traditions are released each year. My other favorite fall scents have been discontinued.

For Christmas and Winter I like Vanilla Bean Noel, Winter Candy Apple, Be Enchanted, as well as almost all the same scents I would wear for Fall. Again I have a ton of other favorites for Fall and Winter but they are all discontinued.

    1. What is the difference between Warm Vanilla Sugar and Vanilla Bean Noel according to your nose? xD

    2. Warm Vanilla Sugar is a very traditional muted vanilla, and vanilla bean Noel smells like cake batter and eggnog :)

  3. Since you are a very experienced BBW shopper, what do you think it is the best sale time (week) during SAS of June/July? I'm not interested in candles and home scents much. My focus is on the body cream and other body care products. I'm the one who wrote the comment above and commented on the online availabilty of the Spring tote by the way :). Thanks for your quick reply.

    1. I'd say the first week for purchases, then keep checking in as you go. Because the first week stuff will mostly only be 50% off, but then you can get everything you want without it selling out. After that keep checking in at the store, if anything you bought gets marked down to 75% off within 14 days of your purchase then you can bring your receipt to the store for a price adjustment.

    2. I don't live near a store and I plan to only do one purchase online during the sale. P.S. I hope I didn't "get in trouble" for posting that code.

P.P.S. What do you think of Warm Milk and Honey Aromatherapy line? It smells like eggnog without nutmeg, but the scent is rather weak.

    3. I'm not sure what code you are posting about? Lol.

I didn't really smell warm milk and honey during SAS. If you want eggnog... Vanilla bean Noel smells like eggnog and cake batter, so next Christmas! I like Black Chamomile.

Even if you don't live near a store, if I were you I'd see where the nearest one is. If it is within 2 hours... Drive to the store. Then you don't have to pay for shipping and you can do multiple transactions with multiple coupons for better savings. Trust me, you'll save much more by paying for gas rather than paying for shipping with limited coupons.

    4. The tote code. I actually have two bottles of vanilla bean noel lotion. I purchased it off the 50% section on the site. Frosted Snowberry and VBN is still available now.

    5. Sorry I never saw you post a code for a tote. I'm guessing it was the Mother's Day tote tho? Did you post it here?

I didn't care as much for frosted snowberry, I miss an old one called snow kissed berry

  4. What is your opinion on Paris Amour, Forever Red, "the vacation scents", Warm Vanilla Sugar, Dancing waters, and Sea Island Cotton? What do you think is the most unique fragrances of BBW? (What I mean is least generic of blending notes of fruits, floral, coconut, musk, and copious amount of vanilla together?

    1. Paris Amour gives me a headache usually, the only form I like it in is Bubble Bath. I don't care for Dancing Waters or Sea Island Cotton for the same reason, I find them floral and I just can't do florals.

I LOVE Forever Red but I forget to mention it because I view it as a luxury scent, something I save for date nights and special events. In regards to your question about the most unique, Forever Red is definitely it.

    2. Hopefully, the price will be marked down during SAS. It sounds very intriguing.

    3. I'm looking for a scent that is fresh and has water notes. Is there a fragrance that is sort of like that?

    4. Hi! I'm a BBW oldie, and I love Forever Red. My hands are always dry and chapped, and I think the Triple Moisture Cream in Forever Red is the best thing ever for them! I also have the perfume and the shimmer mist in this scent. Dancing Waters is another favorite, but very different. I think DW is more of a spring-y scent. I don't care much for Vanilla Sugar or Sea Island Cotton, but that's just my opinion. You should also try Sweet Pea, which is a fruity-floral and good for warm weather. And Beautiful Day is very apple-y; I like the Triple Moisture Cream in this scent, but not the mist. Paris Amour is ok, but it doesn't smell very unique on me, so I don't wear it. There was a limited edition "Sweet of Paris" scent from a couple years ago that I do like. And right now there is a limited edition Honey Sweetheart that I also like. And I'm currently in love with a new lemon fragrance from Victoria's Secret. My mom's all-time favorite is White Citrus, which is very light and sort of grassy. Now, about the SAS: it seems like BBW runs different sales all the time. Sadly for my wallet, this means I just drop in frequently to see what the new deals are! Of course, now that I have found Cia's blog, I know that she will tell us the insider info!! :-)

Last year, the stores had this really cool chart where you would select different activities and favorite hobbies and this would point you in the direction of scents you might like. They might have this on the website still, or maybe the stores still have this hiding in the back room? Happy sniffing and enjoy getting to find your favorite!

    5. I see. Is Beautiful Day an artificial green apple or true apple? I don't like artificial apple, cherry, jasmine, and grape scents. The Triple Moisture Cream is awesome. I love the texture of it; it bears similarities with freshly whipped cream. What do you think of Pink Chiffon? Is it strong on cotton candy or is it more of a frosting scent? Thanks for the long response

    6. Capri Seaside Citrus, Cucumber Melon, Rain Kissed Leaves, Rays of Citrus... All fresh

    7. Lol I don't care for beautiful day either... Again I find it very floral. Pink chiffon I like to call the Marilyn Monroe scent... Feminine but heavy, very sweet. I don't get frosting out of it tho... I know I've heard ppl who don't like say it smells like black licorice.

    8. Is the champagne note in Paris Amour very strong? I don't want to smell like alcohol.

    9. No it isn't. There was an old scent called Love Love Love that truly smelled like alcohol. Paris Amour I tried to like but like I said florals give me a headache.

  5. To the person who wanted a fresh scent with watery notes I would go with rainkissed leaves hands down! It used to be green clover and aloe. Very fresh and very very nice!
Cia- I saw the mother's day tote in person today and it is super nice! You just might change your mind when you see it :) went to an outlet store a few days ago and omg they had so much stuff it was like sas on steroids. Canada is changing their packaging so they had a ton of Canadian stuff super cheap. Written in French/English. Amazing! Bought lots of stuff lol and didn't need any of it of course. I saw some things I have never seen like dish soap. And aromatherapy hand soap was only $2. Rebecca
